For diversity, acceptance, and peace
One’s breath could hitch
At the sight of a dreamy winter morning.
How gorgeous
Is the entrancing simplicity of the white snow?
One’s lips could turn up
in the embrace of a serene night.
How exquisite
Is the tranquilizing darkness?
One’s jaw could drop in awe
At nature’s masterpiece of the autumn leaves.
How magnificent
Is the brilliant fusion of different shades of yellow?
One’s body could unwind from physical and mental tension
When a foot sets on the ground.
How entrancing
Is the ability of the brown earth to provide the foundation
For both the vibrance of life and the placidity of mind?
Yet…
One’s soul could be free
When their eyes can
Squint in delight at the pristine whiteness of the snow
Close in restfulness at the soothing darkness of the night
Widen in wonder at the glorious kaleidoscope that is the golden leaves
Unfocus in relaxation at the grounding touch of the brown earth…
One can make the world a better place
When they can truly appreciate
the beauty of diversity.
